Performance Assessment Specialist Course

Next Course: 13th/14 March 2010.... 9am-5.30pm

Hurry! Only £485 if booked before Jan 15th (£585 after)

If you’ve ever wondered how to get the best out of your clients or athletes then the performance assessment specialist program is for you.

Over 2 packed days of intensive performance theory and practical drills you’ll be taught how to develop an in-depth integrated bio-motor ability assessment of each of your clients allowing them to safely bring about the very best of improvements in the shortest possible time.

During these power packed 2 days students will learn:
  • 4 rarely used methods to assess your client or athlete’s Strength with these safe, reliable, realistic and directly applicable tests that you can use to determine the correct loading parameters for their program goal requirements

  • 3 Tests of speed that will assess the ability of your clients to quickly accelerate from a standstill, maintain that speed over distance and finish strong. These assessments will enable you to identify key kinetic chain dysfunctions that may be contributing to reduced performance, repetitive injury and undue fatigue and allow you to counter them with superior program design.

  • 3 Tests that will allow you to accurately assess your clients’ co-ordination. This relates to their ability to perform increasingly complex tasks, quickly, efficiently and accurately. A co-ordination deficit, once identified correctly through these assessments can be programmed and improved upon very quickly by the performance coach

  • Assessing the ability to perform work of a given intensity over a given period of time is known as endurance. The 3 assessment tests learned during this part of the course will enable you to accurately identify any local or global endurance deficit that may be present.

  • 4 Tests of Agility that you can use to assess the ability to start, stop and change direction rapidly without loss of speed, power or co-ordination. An invaluable toolkit for any coach who trains athletes of any kind (yet still important to those training ‘normal’ clientele too!)

  • 4 Quick and easy tests of flexibility that you can perform to assess the functional range of motion around a joint, range of motion deficit and factors contributing to reduced range enabling you to devise fast, efficient and highly effective programs to enhance and improve flexibility and mobility throughout the body

  • 3 amazingly simple yet powerfully informative tests of balanceallowing you to assess a clients ability to maintain their centre of gravity over their base of support whilst producing, reducing or countering external forces. These assessment when combined with KCA data will allow you to correctly identify dysfunctions to a new and heightened level

  • 3 tests of POWER that will assess your clients’ ability to quickly produce a rapid force against load. The findings of this assessment will tell you whether your programs are making your client functionally stronger for their sports or activities or whether you’re simply making them ‘gym strong’… big difference!

That’s 28 total tests!

When combined, they’ll give you the most complete picture of your clients and athletes that you’ve ever had and ensure that you’re no longer designing your programs based on ‘best guess’ strategies, but rather, on solid, sound, scientific information that you can use to consistently and predictably get results for anyone you train.

Make no mistake, conducting a complete biomotor profile is one of the most important things you can do to guarantee faster, safer and more integrated results for those you work with.

And this isn’t some classroom theory-based course. You’ll be learning the theory (and there’s a good bit of it) ‘on the fly’ whilst in each of the assessment workshops so that you can better understand each one and apply them most efficiently to your clients.

In addition, the course comes with a 78-page manual so that you have a full reference guide of each assessment after the course is over which you can use to study from and improve your knowledge.

There IS a catch though…

This course is only open to those who have completed the Kinetic Chain Assessment Specialist Level 1 program as it requires a knowledge of movement dysfunction, postural distortion and motor programming before we allow you to ‘unleash’ these assessments on your clients.
